I will be sad to see the paper go. I have enjoyed all of them. The articles helped us to identify with our people on the margins. I enjoyed your articles. Thank you for the zip code article.
Dear Ron,
Since I retired 6 months ago, after 45 years of employment, “rest” and the ability to sleep in still seems like a luxury, or even to still awaken in the wee hours and savor that first cup of coffee. I join my prayers with yours in asking God to help us help those who need rest, which flows from the peace of knowing Jesus and who he is in our lives! So much science reveals the importance of sleep and rest as beneficial for our general health. I think however that Shakespeare expressed it best, in a scene from Macbeth, when Macbeth says, “sleep that knits up the ravelled sleeve of care. The death of each day’s life, sore labor’s bath, balm of hurt minds, great nature’s second course, Chief nourished in life’s feast.” God bless you in all you do, Fr. Ron! Love, Danny Z-man
