The Fourth Sunday of Lent, March 10, 2024, Cycle B, The Prayers of the Faithful

March 10, 2024

Fourth Sunday of Lent

Let us pray to lift up hope for people in anguish. May our Church leaders assist us in seeking the love of God, the freedom of our lives.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to lift burdens off the shoulders of our neighbors. May we lend a hand when needed. May we offer encouragement in any obstacle or impossibility.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to listen to members of our families. May we offer an attentive ear to those who feel lost or alienated from family life. May our words be few but reassuring.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for all who seek the waters of baptism at Easter. May we lift up hope for other people to behold. May faith ignite a new vision for our world.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to sit at the bedside of a loved one and offer consolation. May we treasure the gift of life when a loved one is ill and in pain.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to lift up our heads and view the beauty of the earth. May our Lenten journey not focus on ourselves alone, but on the wonder and awesomeness of God, our neighbors, and our families on this earth.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to believe in the mystery of Jesus’ dying and rising. May the essence of our Christian faith be made known to our world in our work for justice and peace.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for people who struggle to walk. May we provide shoulders for other people to lean upon. May our hearts bear the mystery of love for all who stumble in life.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for our beloved dead. May our loved ones find new home and new joy for all eternity in heaven.

We pray to the Lord.
