Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion

Let us pray for Francis, our Pope, and ___, our Bishop, as we begin Holy Week. May all who lead us in faith be rooted in the redemptive life of Christ Jesus. May hope thrive within all communities of faith.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for justice to be born in us. May renewal of baptism at Easter lead us to serve beyond measure. May love blanket the earth as we cherish our faith in Holy Week.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for our bishops and clergy who will bless the sacred oils for our sacraments. May our leaders gather at the Chrism Mass mindful of our ill family members and those who seek initiation at Easter.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for courage this Holy Week. May we embrace the Cross of Christ and learn firsthand how to wash the feet of our neighbors.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for people who live with mental anguish. May all who struggle in mind and soul find relief in the goodness of God’s love.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for our Elect who will receive Easter Sacraments. May those preparing for baptism be renewed in hope in the flowing waters of grace.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for people surviving prisons, those who face the confines of ill health and those locked down by fear and depression. May the Light of Christ shine boldly in our human darkness.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for the weary of heart, those who grieve their losses, and those who wait for the glory of the Kingdom of God.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for our beloved dead. May the promises of Christ Crucified be made known in those who have gone before us.

We pray to the Lord.
