The Ascension of the Lord.

Let us pray for the dignity and well-being of Francis, our Pope, and ___, our Bishop. May our Church leaders inspire courage to pray and to serve. May justice become their way of life.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for all who hunger and thirst for holiness. May the Eucharist call us into deep compassion. May the scriptures show us the path to service.  May love endure in our lives.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for people struggling to make sense out of life. May they rest in the assurance of God’s mercy and be protected in Christ’s enduring presence.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to live in wonder and hope on this day of Christ’s Ascension.  May God instill in us the courage to accept the contradictions in life and believe in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to end street violence and killings. May our young find hope in life that all people are children of God. May hatred end and grief find resolution.  May hopelessness be turned into compassion.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for people desiring to heal their past. May we delight in the miracle of life and know that we are in the hands of God. May we leave regret and worry behind and receive God’s forgiveness and love.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for our children in this Easter season. May we see hope for our world in the bright eyes of infants.  May the young be given voice and purpose.

Let us pray for the weak and the weary.  May all who suffer physical illness and mental anguish know the healing love of Christ in this Easter season.

Let us pray for our loved ones who have died. May they find the joy of heaven and their place among the beloved of God.
