June 23, 2024

Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time

For the health and well-being of Francis, our Pope, and ___, our Bishop. May they ease the weariness of those who have no hope. May we work together for justice and peace.

We pray to the Lord.

For people suffering from natural disasters. May we help stabilize the lives of people in times of storms, droughts, fires, and floods. May hope live within us in times of need.

We pray to the Lord.

For people who live in fear. May anxiety and restlessness be eased. May we learn to listen to people who face such inner turmoil.

We pray to the Lord.

For security and peace in times of trial. May all who face discouragement and loss know the steady and healing presence of Christ Jesus.

We pray to the Lord.

For runaway children and orphans. May our youth searching for home and acceptance discover calm and love amid our communities of faith.

We pray to the Lord.

For integrity in our prayer. May we seek the face of Christ Jesus in our daily needs and prayer. May we work to build the Kingdom of God upon the earth.

We pray to the Lord.

For healing among our elders. May our loved ones in hospitals, nursing homes, or who live alone, find support and adequate healthcare. May we not forget those who have loved us in the world.

We pray to the Lord.

For a new awareness to care for the earth. May our political exchanges not dry up hope. May fear not become our only food. May education lead us to care for one another and the earth upon which we live.

We pray to the Lord.

For our loved ones who have died. May our friends and relatives now rest in the assurance of God’s presence in heaven.

We pray to the Lord.
