Let us pray for our religious leaders. May Francis, our Pope, and ___, our Bishop find purpose in the love of God. May all who lead us in faith enjoy the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Let us pray for reconciliation and peace. May harmony be manifest among quarrelling neighbors and justice become a bridge between waring nations.

Let us pray to be imitators of God and seekers of love. May we grow in wisdom and courage and resist all resentment and bitterness of heart.

Let us resist all false anger and reviling. May our harsh words be replaced with joy in life and in our service among people.

Let us pray for healthy food and rich nutrition. May adequate and genuine food be provided in every nation. May we learn the value of food as medicine for health and healing.

Let us pray for a rich homelife for all families. May family members share stories of their day and listen to the miracles of one another at common tables. May we be warmed by genuine conversation and good listening.

Let us pray to be attentive to people most in need. May people struggling to find affordable housing be offered safe shelter and hope for the future.

Let us pray to examine our conscience in God’s mercy. May we express our sorrow among those who grieve. May we reconcile among people we have hurt. May we live in the gifts of the Holy Spirit all our days.
