Dear Fr. Ron,
Hi, and happy 1st Sunday of Lent! I love the quote, “No one wants to be where they are.” I remember the title of a book on meditation which is on point, instead of saying “don’t just sit there, do something”, it read, “Don’t Just Do Something, Sit There!” As you so well pointed out, we often just get busy, rather than pause and reflect, and deal with where we are and our present challenges. I had this flash in my mind this morning, how difficult at times it must have been for the disciples to constantly be with Jesus, and yet that is what they were called to do. Thanks for your reflections, and for reminding us that with Jesus, even the deserts of our experience allow us to draw closer to Him!
