Fifth Sunday of Lent

Prayers of the Faithful

For Francis, our Pope, and ___, our Bishop. May they receive the healing touch of Christ Jesus. May they extend such forgiveness to all people.

We pray to the Lord.

For us who live in circles of condemnation. May we seek the presence and touch of Christ Jesus. May we await healing to set our lives free.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who point fingers in rage and accusation. May Christ’s presence heal all who seek him. May reconciliation be in the hearts of all in turmoil and trauma.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who yearn for the healing waters of baptism. May our catechumens across the world wait in joyful hope for the healing mercy of the Risen Christ.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who live in trauma from past relationships. May Christ help us to stand up in the love of God and in the healing peace of faith.

We pray to the Lord.

For all whose bodies are weakened by illness. May the freedom of Christ’s healing touch be upon us who claim him as Savior. May we lift our heads and spirits in praise of God.

We pray to the Lord.

For young people who live in circles of neglect. May orphans and children in foster care know only goodness and healing. May hope flood the lives of our youth who feel most alone.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who live behind bars in small cells. May all the imprisoned know God’s strength and peace. May freedom be in our hearts and on our lips.

We pray to the Lord.

For our beloved dead. May peace reign in us on earth as our loved one enter eternal rest. May peace be a path to our heavenly home.

We pray to the Lord.
