It is imperative to be incessantly in discernment if we are to follow Jesus. It is a mindset cultivated by prayer and practice, a form of spiritual discipline that allows love to flow spontaneously and encompassingly. Gospel discipleship has never been premised on convenient compromise but on surrender and service, regardless.
