Prayers of the Faithful

July 6, 2025

Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

For Leo, our Pope. May he inspire us to bring the gospel to the corners of the earth. May we travel with love and purpose.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who are burdened with ill health or mental anguish. May our bodies speak the truth of our longing for love and purpose. May we surrender our pain to the beauty of God’s care for us.

We pray to the Lord.

For our children at play. May the summer months inspire hope and joy in our young people. May we seek art, creativity, and God’s gifts within us for the good of others.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who seek an intentional life. May we not live in excess or with hoarding. May we find freedom to live simply.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who hear God’s call to serve other people. May we listen attentively to the sound of Jesus calling us to follow the gospel. May we listen with love to his saving word.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who live on streets or in deep woods. May our neighbors rest upon hope for their lives. May we serve people who need the basics of life.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who seek to help the earth to heal. May our efforts confront climate change to ensure our planet for generations to come.

We pray to the Lord.

For a new hospitality among us. May we welcome our neighbors, strangers, sojourners, and visitors with love and peace. May we see the beauty of all people. May walls of fear crumble at our Eucharistic altars.

We pray to the Lord,

For all who have died. May our loved ones find welcome at the feast of heaven.

We pray to the Lord.
