Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
For all who lead us in faith. May our voices proclaim God’s miraculous and gracious love. May we serve beyond our expertise and rely on God alone.
We pray to the Lord.
For foster children. May we restore belonging for children in families and communities. May we work diligently to provide shelter, education and food for children in need.
We pray to the Lord.
For our elderly poor. May we provide health insurance and adequate housing for our aging and ill. May God help us listen to the wisdom we share.
We pray to the Lord.
For all people at our doors. May we acknowledge our beloved poor who seek the basics of life. May we open our hearts and doors of our faith communities.
We pray to the Lord.
For all who face ridicule and injustice. May we use our voices to lift people from despair and harsh judgments. May we work to restore hope for our next generation.
We pray to the Lord.
For people living with disabilities. May we work to have equal access to all public buildings. May we open our doors in welcome for all people.
We pray to the Lord.
For lasting peace in every nation under heaven. May leaders of the world restore harmony and the common good.
We pray to the Lord.
For all who grieve. May we open our doors to people suffering loss and depression. May our hearts heal with love and compassion.
We pray to the Lord.
For our beloved dead. May our loved ones find home in Christ Jesus. May they encounter Christ’s comfort and mercy.
We pray to the Lord.
Amen!
