The Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed

For Leo, our Pope and ___, our Bishop. May our leaders shelter our beloved poor and provide hope for the weary.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who ache for healing. May our loved ones who suffer bodily and spiritual pain know the healing love of Christ Jesus. May God shepherd us into restorative hope.

We pray to the Lord.

For all mothers who have suffered a miscarriage. May God heal women who have suffered the loss of a child. May God shepherd the quiet pain of all parents.

We pray to the Lord.

For people who stray from faith and family. May the souls of the lost know God’s fidelity and kindness. May reconciliation be known among families. May Christ shepherd the anxious and angry.

We pray to the Lord.

For peace upon our earth. May God shepherd all nations into revitalizing justice. May every nation respect its citizens and may we trust in God’s presence.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who live in darkness. May God wipe away the tears of all who cry themselves to sleep. May God shepherd our doubt and pain into light that shines until eternity.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who grieve a loved one who has died. May Christ show us a new path in our heartache and may our souls be filled with love.  May our loss be transformed into hope and compassion.

We pray to the Lord.

For families that experience tension and ill-will when death occurs. May Christ Jesus ease the pain of families. May God shepherd our resentments into hope for family life.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who died. May God reveal compassion for the souls of our loved ones. May God shepherd us all into the beauty and glory of eternal life.
