The Dedication of the Lateran Basilica

For artists, architects, contractors and engineers who build churches. May all who create our houses of worship turn to Christ, our Master Builder. May the Holy Spirit inspire our prayer and imagination as we celebrate our communion in God.

For families in need of shelter and employment. May the basic needs of our families be fulfilled with God’s healing justice. May our communities sustain hope for every life on earth.

We pray to the Lord.

For people who suffer mental anguish. May all who live in darkness and pain find emotional support. May God heal all people threatened by diseases of the mind.

We pray to the Lord.

For people who seek God in worship and in service. May we celebrate Eucharist together with faith and integrity. May the Real Presence of Christ renew our work in daily life well beyond the walls of our worship spaces.

For people who grieve. May all who bear the burdens of loss and hardship know the healing mercy of Christ Jesus.

For our loved ones who have died. May we remember our loved ones in this month of November. May the souls of the just find true communion with Christ in heaven.
