  1. Dear Fr. Ron,

I enjoyed your reflections for this Sunday, focusing on Jesus urging us to “persevere”. It’s certainly a message that we need, as we grow older, to follow Jesus. In the flush of our youth, I think it’s much easier for our hearts to fill with enthusiasm for the journey, but now as we age, the burdens of health challenges and heavy hearts slow our steps. I remember the wonderful example of the retired priests who lived with us at Moreau, people like Fr. Charlie Sheedy, who showed us a wonderful excitement at what his older years were revealing to him! I am praying for that deep faith in Jesus, to rejoice in this journey, even though like you pointed out, things fall apart, revealing what is most essential. God bless you always!
