The Presentation of the Lord

For Francis, our Pope, and ___, our Bishop, and ___, our Pastor. May our leaders uphold the dignity and safety of our people.  May they speak wisdom in our sanctuaries and work for justice in daily life.

We pray to the Lord.

For our mentors, teachers and those to who inspire us. May God send us leaders who reveal faith, hope and love. May their courage inspire us to work for the common good.

We pray to the Lord.

For people grieving from the devastating Los Angeles fires. May all people find adequate shelter and a future of safety.

We pray to the Lord.

For our children who seek meaning and hope. May our youth find purpose in life and the joy only God can offer them.
We pray to the Lord.

For people threatened by deportation from our nation. May harmony be restored for those whose lives and future are unsteady and uncertain. May peace be in the hearts of our loved ones.

We pray to the Lord.

For integrity in our nation and harmony in our politics. May we all seek God in our lives of service. May peace become real among nations.

We pray to the Lord.

For courage to pray and to surrender to God. May the Holy Eucharist give us the grace to ease our burdens and to call us into a life of joy and service.

We pray to the Lord.

For people who face illness and disease. May the burdens of ill health be eased in faith and love. May God hold us and heal us in our suffering and fear.

We pray to the Lord.

For our beloved dead. May God offer the souls of our loved ones a place at the heavenly banquet.

Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

For all who lead us in faith, especially Francis, our Pope and ___, our Bishop. May the Word of God be forever on their lips. May the Gospel find home in every human heart.

We pray to the Lord.

For all preachers of the Good News. May all who proclaim and preach the gospel find joy upon their lips and courage in the hearts.  May we all hear the gospel with joy and humility.

We pray to the Lord.

For all poets, writers, journalists, notetakers and students of words. May we care for our human languages with sincerity and purpose. May we communicate with integrity and listen carefully to the voiceless within our society.

We pray to the Lord.

For our children preparing for sacraments. May we advise our next generation with gentleness and invite our youth to open the pages of the gospel with enthusiasm and intention.

We pray to the Lord.

For people who bear body pain and illness. May we support our loved ones as we wait for God’s healing love.

We pray to the Lord.

For people bearing loss and grief from the Los Angeles fires. May we help build a future for people who have lost home and security.

We pray to the Lord.

For all people who despair about the future. May we speak honestly and boldly about our common human needs and concerns. May the prophetic voices of our day speak boldly about the dignity of humanity.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who grieve under heaven. May the past not keep us from living in the present with peace and love. May our future grow into what we sow today.

We pray to the Lord.

For our loved ones who have died. May our beloved dead find security and home in the glory of heaven.

Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

For Francis, our Pope and ___, our Bishop. May Christ inspire leadership and zeal in our Church. May our leaders be instruments of God’s miraculous presence.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who lost their lives in recent California fires. May we work to ease the burdens of survivors. May we heal along with our land, our future and our children.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who feast at the Table of the Lord. May the Body and Blood of Christ feed us, love us, and call us into the world with joy and thanksgiving.

We pray to the Lord.

For all engaged couples. May couples preparing for marriage know profound joy in their commitments. May we help the next generation live gospel peace and service in family life.

We pray to the Lord.

For the healing of our earth. May we work constantly for clean water, adequate food and sufficient resources for our future. May our earth heal to sustain our next generations.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who wait for God.  May people facing mental and emotional discouragement find remedy and wholeness. May we listen carefully to people who call out in need.

We pray to the Lord.

For peace throughout every nation and land. May we work diligently for justice among people. May every nation under heaven work toward forgiveness and harmony.

We pray to the Lord.

For unity among believers. May the Holy Spirit ease the tensions among all who believe in Christ Jesus. May we be courageous in faith and fearless in hope and love.  

We pray to the Lord.

For people living with illness and disease. May healing become known among our families. May we serve people in pain and in fear.

We pray to the Lord.

For our beloved dead. May God welcome our loved ones into eternal and merciful rest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
