The Ascension of the Lord

For Leo, our Pope. May his life and ministry reflect the hope of Easter. May the Holy Spirit offer him joy in serving the most vulnerable in our world.

We pray to the Lord.

For nations at war. May peace ease human fear and conflict. May hope become bread for the survival of our planet.

We pray to the Lord.

For our people who have received Easter sacraments. May joy be in the hearts of our newly baptized and zeal be among those who serve now in our communities.

We pray to the Lord.

For people who feel alone or abandoned. May we reach out to help our neighbors lost among violence, depression and neglect.

We pray to the Lord.

For people lost in addiction and fear. May we find joy and surrender in Christ Jesus. May sobriety be hope for our future.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who travel for graduations, weddings or family feasts. May we rely solely upon the Holy Spirit to guide our ways, our roads, and our hearts.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who face imprisonment. May every heart know God’s love and faithfulness. May we not abandon our loved ones.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who grieve in this Easter Season. May Christ Jesus offer hope to us on earth who learn to let go of people we love. May we face loss with tenderness.

We pray to the Lord.

For our beloved dead. May all who have died find consolation and joy in the promise of God’s Kingdom. May our love ones find true home in the presence of Christ Jesus.

We pray to the Lord.
