Third Sunday of Easter

For all spiritual leaders in our church. May they rely on the Holy Spirit to seek truth and love among us. May Easter renew our hearts in service.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who will elect our new pope. May the Holy Spirit reveal hope to their hearts for our common good in the church. May their actions reveal the mission of Christ to serve people in poverty.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who receive Easter sacraments. May the newly baptized surrender to God’s mercy and learn to serve others with courage. May grace fill the hearts of those who taste Eucharist for the first time.

We pray to the Lord.

For people suffering depression. May Easter rouse new hope in us who ache for new life and inner joy. May hope be born in every heart.

We pray to the Lord.

For nations at war. May all nations learn new ways of peace. May courage transform our actions in the world. May we learn to respect the dignity of all people.

We pray to the Lord.

For students closing out another school year. May our youth serve the needs of others during the summer break. May they invest in God’s compassion for the poor.

We pray to the Lord.

For all people who face hardship. May Easter bring every human heart into a new joy and purpose in life.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who grieve in this Easter season. May the Risen Christ flood the hearts of all who feel loss.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who have died. May Easter bring us hope and courage on earth. May our hearts be eased as our sisters and brothers enter eternal life.

We pray to the Lord.
