Holy Thursday

Prayers of the Faithful

For Francis, our Pope, and ___, our Bishop. May we set our hearts on the Body and Blood of our Savior. May all who lead us reveal prayer and service in the Church.

We pray to the Lord.

For all bishops, priests and deacons in this sacred Triduum. May all who blessed the sacred oils during the Chrism Mass find the healing touch of Christ Jesus.

We pray to the Lord.

For all who await full initiation in the Church. May we yearn for the healing waters of baptism and the joy of the Body and Blood of Christ Jesus.

We pray to the Lord.

For people whose feet are filthy. May we bend down to wash the feet of sojourners, immigrants, and those who have walked along the path of violence, war, and corruption. May we join people along the path of hope.

We pray to the Lord.

For all the sick and those who live in unfortunate circumstances. May we comfort the lost and those who wait for inner freedom, joy and peace along the path to Easter.

We pray to the Lord.

For our children who have been abused or trafficked in violence. May we support our young and offer hope for a new generation.

We pray to the Lord.

For people who are bedridden and who face depression and grief. May we reach out to people who cannot raise their heads or voices in praise of God.

We pray to the Lord.

For the hungry and those who cannot find true nourishment. May we delight in the sacred Eucharist. May we break the Body of Christ among those who starve for hope, peace and salvation.

We pray to the Lord.

For our beloved dead. May the Triduum bring us to our knees to honor the lives of people who have gone before us in faith. May peace reign in us and lead us to the joy of Christ Jesus.

We pray to the Lord.
