Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

For courage in our faith. May Francis, our Pope, and ___, our Bishop be given hope in their ministries of compassion.

We pray to the Lord.

For seeds of justice upon the earth. May integrity sprout from reconciliation tables. May wars melt in the summer sun. May hope bloom for survivors of conflict.

We pray to the Lord.

For new seeds of reconciliation. May love and acceptance spring up amid family conflict and unrest. May hope flourish in every relationship.

We pray to the Lord.

For children growing up in shelters or on the streets. May seeds of hope sprout for the well-being of young people. May we offer children opportunities of education, belonging and the acceptance they need.

We pray to the Lord.

For people facing summer transitions. For children enrolling in new schools or families moving to a new city. May they find Jesus Christ in the center of change.

We pray to the Lord.

For people discouraged by violence, political polarity, unneeded aggression or viciousness. May hope be a seed of love to the wearied. May we grow in the richness of God’s mercy.

We pray to the Lord.

For bravery amid our faith. May we walk by faith and not by sight. May we grow in trust in our daily lives, surrendering to the power of Christ Jesus.

We pray to the Lord.

For people disabled by ill-health or mental decline. May our aging family members know the truth about their health and surrender to the Holy Spirit for consolation.

We pray to the Lord.

For our beloved dead. May our sisters and brothers find love on earth as they learn to let go of relationships. May they live in peace for all eternity in heaven.

Tenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

For Francis, our Pope, and ____, our Bishop. May our faith leaders offer our next generation the love of God and our call to witness faith in our world.

We pray to the Lord.

For our beloved poor. May all who live under cardboard or blankets on city streets find true shelter in our concern for people. May our abandoned poor find security of life in our care for them.

We pray to the Lord.

For people who suffer from illness, disease, and disability. May we help people who lean upon us for mobility, healthcare, and help in daily life. May all the sick find healing in Christ Jesus.

We pray to the Lord.

For our children on summer vacation. May our next generation find their true gifts and talents in their times of vacation and rest. May every generation know the richness of their gifts and God’s care for them.

We pray to the Lord.

For our elderly poor. May people who face loneliness and ill health in medical facilities find joy and hope in those who care for them.

We pray to the lord.

For our earthly homes divided by intolerance, violence, and catastrophe. May no household on earth be divided but only unified in love and concern for others.

We pray to the Lord.

For people who have walked away from Christianity. May all people find solace in their life issues and come to know true belonging in Christ Jesus.

We pray to the Lord.

For people who struggle in marriage. May every couple find solid ground upon which to support one another and raise children with acceptance. May spouses learn to listen to the love of Christ Jesus.

We pray to the Lord.

For our friends and relatives who have died. May our loved ones who have gone before us in faith find sheer joy in the presence of Christ Jesus.

The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

Let us pray for Francis, our Pope, and ___, our Bishop. May they celebrate the Eucharist with joy and wonder. May the Eucharist reveal our path to peace and hope upon the earth.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for liturgical musicians, artists, ministers of hospitality, and proclaimers of scripture. May all who serve the banquet tables in our churches be inspired by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for people around the world who starve for food and the basics of life. May we break the bread of Eucharist with delight and share hope that flows into our world. May we serve others, the Body of Christ on earth.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for blood and organ donors. May all who give their own body for the sake of others find joy in giving, and hope in service to people’s needs.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for a richer appreciation of the Eucharist. May our hearts
receive God’s tender care and compassion in the Breaking of the
Bread. May we truly live faith in our daily lives.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for children enjoying summer vacation. May their imaginations be stirred; their interests and talents be nurtured, and their faith be deepened in play and family time.

Let us pray for people who survive storms, tornadoes, and severe weather. May we reach out to people to help rebuild homes and futures.

Let us pray for people who grieve. May all who have lost a loved one in death find hope in the healing Body of Christ.

Let us pray for all who have died marked with the sign of faith.  May our loved ones who have gone before us find heavenly delight in the presence of Christ Jesus.

The Most Holy Trinity

Let us pray for our Church in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. May the Trinity unite the mission of the Church. May Francis, our Pope, and __, our Bishop be given every grace of guidance.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for the beauty and dignity of all people on earth. May racism end and violence be something of our past. May we know we are loved by God.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for all who struggle to believe in God. May we learn to surrender to God in our addictions, our losses, and in our vulnerable moments. May love be the ground upon which we live.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to heal our family divides. May the Holy Trinity mend family squabbles, ease the tensions of growing up, and sustain our earthly needs.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for our loved ones who graduate in our schools this spring. May their education lead them to offer their lives in service to all people.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for all who live with mental anguish and depression.  May they be eased by God’s healing love and our support in their sorrow.

Let us pray for all who seek deeper meaning in life. May we have the courage to pray in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Pentecost Sunday

Let us pray for all who lead us in faith. May Francis, our Pope, and __, our Bishop, be given the zeal of the Holy Spirit. May they trust in the beauty of God’s eternal plan for all people on earth.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for all we need under heaven. On this day of Pentecost, may our hearts pulse in the life of the Holy Spirit. May we live in the miracles of God and in the healing of all our earthly ills.

We pray to the lord.

Let us pray for Christian unity on this Pentecost. May all Christians know the wonder, joy, and goodness of life. May tensions ease and unity be restored among all believers.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to break down barriers of neglect and walls of despair. May we be ready for the healing love of Pentecost, the joy of the Holy Spirit in every moment and in every earthly need.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to rely more deeply on the Holy Spirit. May chaos on our streets be eased into peace. May hopelessness among our youth end in the joy of Christ’s love. May sorrow cease and love endure.

Let us pray for families discouraged by joblessness. May we all find work to sustain our lives. May our true purpose be to live in God’s redeeming love. May mercy fill us with hope for tomorrow.

Let us pray for people facing tragedy and loss. May such sadness be remedied in the presence of the Holy Spirit. May we work diligently to mend the lives of people suffering from natural disasters, storms, and floods.

Let us pray for our children and our children’s children. May the Holy Spirit guide our lives and the lives of those we love. May hope be our food on this Pentecost.

Let us pray for our loved ones who have died. May the Holy Spirit guide our loved ones into heavenly joy. May we discover healing in our grief.
