On The Margins – Luke: 14:1,7-14

fr_ron_and_kbvm_readingbw1Listen to my weekly radio show, On the Margins. There is a great humility in this gospel text. We are not ultimately in control of our lives. Life itself humbles us. We find our place among the humble even with our great strengths and talents. We will be knocked around in life. LIfe either humbles us or makes us bitter and fearful. We need God more than ever. Invite the crippled, the blind and the marginalized because they feel they do not belong. Twenty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time , September 1, 2013.

  1. I like this very much, and while I was listening, I began to think about what a relief humility can be! It’s a relief to take the lower place, to relate rather than critically evaluate, etc. Thanks Fr. Ron
