“In the sight of the angels…” Painting by: Ronald Raab, CSC

O God,

In the sight of the angels, I will sing your praises.

O God,

Send forth your angels

So we may sort through the realities of abuse in our Church,

So we may seek union in our racial divides,

So we may learn how hungry the poor really are,

So we may not scapegoat the powerless,

So we may seek justice among those who seek entry in our nation,

So we may teach our children how to believe in you,

So we may not divide with our tongues,

So we may learn how to listen to the marginalized,

So we may speak the truth of our lives,

So we may heal our wounded cities,

So we may show others that love is possible.

O God,

In the sight of the angels, I will sing your praises.

  1. Beautiful words but….I am Looking for a Catholic Church that is inclusive and doesn’t shame or spread propaganda as OurLady of the Woods just did as they promoted the Gosnell movie. We just moved to this area from San Antonio; we were very involved with marriage encounter in the 80’s and have very close catholic priests friends who never shamed me and although as I am are against abortion for myself but I believe in a woman’s right to choose. I am a psychologist who has experience in working with sexual abuse and working with trauma. Is your church what I’m looking for?

      • Thank you for your response. We are out of town for 3 weeks but plan to come to mass in Colorado Springs in three weeks. My husband, Lance, and I will surely introduce ourselves. We look forward to finding a church here in Colorado. We live in Divide Colorado.
