Gift from Sacred Heart: A Plaque of Gratitude, July 12, 2022

Today, I received this honor from our Parish Staff, Finance and Pastoral Council. This Plaque will hang in the lobby of Sacred Heart Church as we celebrate our centennial this week. I leave the parish one week from today for my new position at Saint Edward’s University, Austin, Texas.

  1. Truly a special man and priest dedicated to the mission of Congregation of Holy Cross.
May the Lord continue to Bless you all the days of your journey.

  2. What a beautiful, and well-deserved plaque for all to see. What won’t be seen but surely felt are the Sacred Heart parishioners’ hearts saddened to see you leave yet grateful for having had your presence, while knowing how fortunate they are in Austin!

  3. Wow, what a run Father Ron. The folks at St. Edwards are blessed that you are headed down that way. Bid bless you always.

  4. Ron – your passion and commitment to the parish over the years has brought forth renewed energies and clearly, you’re leaving Sacred Heart well-prepared for the road ahead! May your life continue to be a blessing as you move ahead on your own road at St. Edwards.

  5. Father Ron we will miss you and we wish you the best in Austin. We look forward to hearing more from you on your website and podcast as that’s how we have been able to stay up on Sacred Heart since we left in 2019. You have been a blessing to all of us.

  6. The plaque is fabulous! Very well phrased. Our hearts swell up with gratitude for your priesthood, leadership, pastoral care and manifold service to our diocese. Thanking God He sent you our way and confident your next community will also love you dearly and treasure you.

  7. A new parishioner but one who recognized the peace and love in this church community. You are clearly a spiritual leader, a gifted homilest, a talented painter and one whose words are touched by the Lord. Blessings to you as you go forth on your continued priestly mission.
