The sustained anticipation and excitement of the Christmas season puts our heart dangerously on overdrive, often causing us to veer off the Road to Bethlehem. Today, we step on the brakes and pause to recalibrate our time and energies to fuel the sacrificial love and service that Mother Mary asks of us to live. Indeed, powerful and resilient as it is, our heart is fragile, as well. It must be regularly handled with care. So, let us sit with It. Listen to It. Hold It lovingly and tenderly. For, It, too, is the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ.
