The Fifth Sunday of Lent
Let us pray for patience in our suffering. May we seek the healing power of Christ and surrender to the gift of all we cannot control.
We pray to the Lord.
Let us pray for the end of destructive wars and hardships. May the fresh graves of the innocent teach us to desire peace.
We pray to the Lord.
Let us pray for those who cry out from the depths of anguish and pain. May the sorrowful be heard and their pain eased in the presence of Christ our Lord.
We pray to the Lord.
Let us pray for people who carry the weight of emotional and mental illness. May they experience the consolation they need to thrive on earth.
We pray to the Lord.
Let us pray to roll back despair and anger toward those who hurt us. May we not live in fear and inner chaos in these last days of Lent.
We pray to the Lord.
Let us pray for the many environmental deaths upon our planet. May we work to save life in all forms. May we live in awe in the gift of our existence.
We pray to the Lord.
Let us pray to welcome strangers and the marginalized. May we find full expressions of mercy in our almsgiving and service during this Lenten season.
We pray to the Lord.
Let us pray to release worry and fear around us. May we invite the healing love of Jesus Christ into our intense sins and frustrations. May God free us to live in the Light.
We pray to the Lord.
Let us pray for those who sit and weep at gravesites. May mourners find consolation in the arms of family and in the miracle of Jesus’ eternal presence. May the dead find lasting peace.
We pray to the Lord.
