Sixth Sunday of Easter

Let us pray for Leo, our Pope, and __, our Bishop. May our leaders thrive in love and healing mercy this Easter season. May Christ become our only hope.

Let us pray for our mothers. May our natural mothers, Godmothers, foster mothers, stepmothers, and women who are mothers to us, find love and gratitude on this day of appreciation.

Let us pray for runaway children and orphans. May Christ heal our addicted youth and those who struggle to be seen, heard and accepted. May we love and support our next generation.

Let us pray for peace in our world. May we not abandon our efforts for civility and justice. May love be louder than gunfire and joy ease our fear of the future.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to cultivate hope. May our daily lives be grounded in gentle joy. May Christ reveal courage and compassion even in dark and lonely times.

Let us pray to sustain creativity. May musicians, writers, poets and visual artists invite us into deeper truth and solidarity.  May Christ open our eyes to see profound joy and wisdom in daily life.

Let us pray to befriend our planet. May Mother Earth thrive for our next generation. May we work diligently for the joy of living on upon the earth.
