Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

For Leo, our Pope, and for _____, our Bishop. May God inspire our leaders to live the Eucharist among the aging, the lost, and the hungry. May Christ inspire their hearts as they listen to the needs of their people.

We pray to the Lord.

For a new vigor in our call to serve the weary and forgotten. May our hearts rejoice in the Eucharist we share. May God send us forth to serve the vulnerable as we ache for justice on earth.

We pray to the Lord.

For people whose lives are torn apart from violence and war. May we not grow numb to people who survive tragedy and loss. May our work on earth bring peace and security.

We pray to the Lord.

For people who feel unmotivated to pray. May Christ embrace us when we feel discouraged, lost or depressed. May Christ heal every wounded heart with serenity and tenderness.

We pray to the Lord.

For young people who worry about their future. May Christ call our young people by name to serve with genuine gratitude.  May Christ become solace for all who fret about what is to come.

We pray to the Lord.

For families on summer vacation. May rituals of travel or rest help restore our relationships.  May we deepen our communion with our loved ones.

We pray to the Lord.

For our loved ones who live with disabilities. May the Good Shepherd support people who struggle with mobility.  May Christ be our stability when life is difficult and treacherous.

We pray to the Lord.

For people who grieve the loss of friendships.  May the Good Shepherd lead us all into healthy and supportive relationships. May we accept the love Christ has for us.

We pray to the Lord.

For our loved ones who have died. May Christ lead our beloved into the great mystery of the Kingdom of God.
