“Our lives are moving toward a deeper conversion into the heart of God”, I loved this observation coupled with Jesus’ example to “die to self” so that God can do His work in us. Thanks, Ron, for these insights in this second half of life! God bless you always!
There is something sacramental in experiencing God’s blessings disguised in miseries. In the midst of despair and grief is a realm of spiritual realities that God offers to remediate our transgression from discipleship. Pain has a way of awakening the soul to a a loving Presence who seemingly always knows where to find us. We need not worry about the Self. Our Christian mandate is to “ die to self”, to deny the Self from centeredness and valuation and align our spirit with God and others. Be Well! Be Safe! Be Happy, Fr.Ron!
