Installation as Pastor: Sunday September 1, 2013

I am so grateful today on the first anniversary of my installation as pastor of Sacred Heart Church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Holy Rosary. The year has gone by so fast! More people are getting involved, programs are being reformed and revitalized. I pray that we are all being drawn into the depths of the Holy Spirit’s care for us. I also pray that we are living the model of Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, standing among people who suffer. The Sacred Heart is not just a name of the parish, but a spirituality that consumes us in the mercy, love and hope of Christ Jesus. Today, especially, know of my pray for each parishioner, each visitor and all who will be invited to join us in this next year. Blessings to all, Ron

  1. Dear Ron,
Congratulations on your first year as pastor! You are truly attentive to Our Lord’s words to St. Peter, “feed my lambs”. When I sang the refrain of this Sunday’s responsorial psalm, I was reminded of how hungry and thirsty we are for Jesus. “My soul is thirsting for you, O Lord my God.” May your ministry continue to encourage us all to see springs of living water, that living water of the Holy Spirit within, and the spring of water from the rock that is Christ. Many blessings for you this day, Ron! – Dan (p.s. I love this picture of you and Fr. Drew with Bishop Sheridan, who looks like he came directly from central casting!)
