Sixth Sunday of Easter

John 14:15-21

Let us pray for church leaders. May love, justice and peace thrive within our communities. May we serve from the miracle of Christ’s resurrection.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for our mothers. May our natural mothers, God-mothers, foster mothers, step-mothers, and women who are mothers to us, find love and gratitude on this day of appreciation.

We pray to the Lord.  

Let us pray to cultivate hope. May we live with enthusiasm and passion. May Easter reveal itself even in dark and lonely times.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to sustain creativity. May musicians, writers, poets, artists all find a living wage to sustain creativity that changes our ways of thinking and being.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to chase the lost. May orphans and runaways be offered security and home. May we give our children a chance to thrive.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to support our planet. May we live with care on our earth. May our environment thrive in our generation.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to listen to joy. May our world find reasons for living. May we spread hope to every human being. May joy be founded in Christ Jesus.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray to support people’s grief. May we embrace the families who grieve the losses from our nation’s tragedies. May love be louder than gunfire.

We pray to the Lord.

Let us pray for our beloved dead. May our loved ones who have journeyed home find healing and forgiveness. May our hope be born in the promises of eternal life.
