Twenty-fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

For Leo, our Pope, and ___, our Bishop. May they model forgiveness when division and strife separate our communities. May they be instruments of justice in our world.

We pray to the Lord.

For the people of war-torn nations. May peace ease tensions and justice restore the basics of life for people who have lost security and livelihood.

We pray to the Lord.

For family members who have lost respect for one another. May we forgive with love in our hearts. May God give us courage to lay down our anger for the benefit of family life.

We pray to the Lord.

For people facing natural disasters. May we help restore the basics of life for people caught off guard from fires, floods and violent wind.  

We pray to the Lord.

For people caught in webs of regret. May God release the binding ties of loss and worry. May we live in peace as we let go of past hurts and even lost dreams.

We pray to the Lord.

For our relatives who live with depression or any mental anguish. May God help us support our loved ones with patience and kindness in our most challenging aspects of life.

We pray to the Lord.

For young people discerning their life vocation. May God inspire our next generation to live with integrity and joy. May faith in Christ Jesus lead them into a generative future.

We pray to the Lord.  

For our fragile elderly, our ill children and all who face disease. May God offer healing and hope to all who live with bodily and emotional pain.

We pray to the Lord.

For our loved ones who have died. May our beloved bask in the beauty of the face of Christ Jesus. May God ease our grief and console our loss.
