In the summer of 2013, I moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to become pastor of three churches. After getting settled, I started to explore the three church buildings. I unlocked every closet door and sorted through sacristy drawers. I found a chasuble and several stoles that I left behind at the parish when I departed in 1987 after serving as associate pastor for three years. Continue reading
Yesterday, ten novices professed first vows of poverty, celibacy and obedience in the Congregation of Holy Cross at Sacred Heart Church. We are so inspired by their lives and commitment and grateful for their willingness to serve the Church. Please pray for our newly professed in the Congregation of Holy Cross.

Mark Williams and I could not resist stopping by to say hello to our new friend, Pope Francis at the NPM this afternoon.
I just had dinner with two other Holy Cross priests attending the NPM in St. Louis. Fr. Brad Beaupre, CSC from Florida and Fr. Larry Jerge, CSC from Massachusetts. I gave a parish mission at Fr. Brad’s parish two years ago and I have known Larry for 38 years. So good to catch up in St. Louis.
